sparkler writes Whilst I understand they are different frequencies and understand the product differences, whats to say any initial rollout by Seven won't carry the same technical problems, as with BUZZ.
Not only are WiFi,Wimax and Mobile Wimax different frequencies they are also "different technologys" i have already stated that. I will add BUZZ use a Wimax technology that was NLOS to cut cost
sparkler wrties I'll stand by what I say that the rollout will be a big burden to the operators balance sheet
Not really sparkler a rollout in the major citys will cover small areas with high population and mobilewimax is built for long range. Just look at the mobile companys income it's a cashcow. I dont know how Seven will go about funding it BUT seven is sitting on $1.5billion
sparkler writes Telstra respond to such a move by Seven? AT&T are also a competing entity from memory (ie LTE) but can't confirm.
LTE and MobileWimax are almost the same technologys many say the 2 technologys will coexist
sparkler writes but more questions need answering to conclude on Aus operational costs and bottom line
As i said to standup I dont think Seven is going to give away it's game plan to it's competitors.
sparkler writes agree they've got one of the best looking balance sheets ive seen on the spec end for a very long time.
"Look beyond the ink" as Neil Jenman would say best way to steal is with a pen. I say that because i dont believe that balance sheet "OMO"
Cheers phishpheet
