these vip tournaments are actually ran at a loss.

total prize money is $15 ($6 for first) and has free entry.

with 32 players all paying $5 each = $160 p/m

lets double the number of paying people to 64 or $320 p/m it is still a loss.

as 15 x 28 days (shortest month) = $420

so even with 64 VIPs per tournament of which only 32 can play they are still losing $100 on the shortest month.


if we look at a full tournament at worst case for a month we have... 32x$5 = $160 rev less 15x31 days = $465 or a loss of $305 p/m multiple this by 16 games is losing $4,880 p/m or $58,560 p.a.

this can look even more scary if the tournaments are not full and also doesn’t include bonus vip rewards the VIPs get from other prize money.
