Day rates cut in half, drilling costs slashed almost sounds like hardly any savings at all buying a expensive matrix LGS VIV drag reduction riser package. I wonder how the numbers look if your running your ruler over it from the big chair. Something I know nothing about but assume no cost cuts will be spared even after deepwater horizon.
