Thanks for sharing HarryKane,
I was previously in PXX, exited for a loss and have recently been buying again as the Cu market is quite sombre, sentiment is way off and EV's are much lower than what they were.
A lot has happened at PXX since I last invested and the narrative is progressively being supported by geological data.
I recommenced accumulating a position last week and was buying steadily yesterday. PXX is a very illiquid stock and I was surprised to see the sell down in the later part of the day. Perhaps stale holders were using the news event as an opportunity to cash up.
I continually discuss my ideas with Sprott to see if I am making a major error - in this case they too are following PXX and have been for sometime.
The last lot of feedback was that it looks interesting but until there is more data surrounding a possible porphyry it was a "wait and see" from them. However, they are not infallible and were late to the ADT story, when I had flagged it to analysts there some months prior (and at a much lower SP).
I think it's possible that yesterday's announcement went some way to changing Sprott's view although I have not had that confirmed.
There are so many beaten down and unloved Cu, Zn, Ni developers and explorers these days and PXX is simply one of them. In the current setup (slowing global growth) there may not be a catalyst to change that situation from a macro perspective anytime soon, but the supply crunches that are looming in all of these metal sectors is now baked into the cake and higher LT prices for these "electric metals" are inevitable.
Given the activity happening with the Cu sector with majors buying interests in juniors or farming into expensive drill programmes I would not be surprised to see a similar relationship develop for PXX. I did hear, from sideline comments at a recent conference, that PXX is not at all stressed where the next round of exploration funding is going to come from.
Drilling porphyry's is expensive, so hopefully they have immediate success (reflected by the market) and before the kitty needs to be refilled.
I am definitely adding more over time.
Cheers
John
