AHD recently acquired the Victoria hotel in Melbourne. It has potential with its grand foyer, easily upgradeable rooms and central Melbourne location. Rydges are yet to make a start however, all same same,retained a lot of the staff. Stayed there yesterday, Rydges upgrade instead of Accor upgrade; all that seems to have changed is they have jammed the prices up 15%.
But that seems typical of AHL, yet each year the sp creeps up, punters still pay top dollar to stay in their over-rated hotels, and still plenty of bums on seats watching Hollywood drivel.
