Could not agree more with your comment. Putting a hole in the ground whether horizontal or vertical or some combination (typical offshore platform directional wells) has nothing whatsoever to do with fracking.
Operators have been hydraulic fracturing (I hate the term "fracking" it's just lazy word usage) onshore in the Cooper Basin, mainly on vertical wells for at least 40 years, on top of the Great Artesian Basin, with no ill effects.
As a LKO holder, what I find most mind boggling is that the Gippsland leases don't even need to be hydraulically fractured to produce. Which I guess is what the legal challenge is all about, IMHO.
