I think a plausible explanation for the selling would be that some of the buying following the xstrata announcement was a bit hasty (the lemming factor) and when said buyers reflected on the time frame for the xstrata expenditure they realised that short term their money could be put to better use elsewhere. just my opinion fwiw as usual dyor
