@govr.... CDM has a policy of scaling in and out of increasing and disappointing holdings in one third increments (or is that 1% increments). As you say, ARQ is their biggest holding so one of their analysists stuffed up.... either that or they were possibly “told something that perhaps wasnt the entire truth?”
No doubt they will be critically reviewing their position and paying that said company a personal visit. I think ARQ was 15% of the portfolio ? I couldnt see what CDM thought they could see in ARQ, so I left it to them, thinking they knew better. I have no interest in ARQ personally...... it may well be that after speaking with the company, that CDM may commence to “scale out” of ARQ, Almost certainly I would think they will have a dramatic reduction in holdings as a % of the fund. Someone either took their eye off the ball, or were induced to do the same by less than factual information. I do not know enough about ARQ to know where their growth or increase in earnings is going to come from ; perhaps it isnt......
