Bid for Macquarie Communications raised

A Canadian pension fund is sweetening its bid for Australia's Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group.
The Australian communications network company's independent directors are supporting the deal.
The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board said Tuesday that it has added another 50 Canadian cents ($A0.55) to the 2.5 Canadian dollars ($A2.76) it offered initially for each Macquarie share.
