These two announcements are not incompatible, just one is more precise than the other.
If they start in November they will not be knocking off come December 1. The drill guys will be out in the field right up to just before Christmas. Contractors don't make money taking two months off over the summer. I can't say I would want the job - being out on Lake Torrens in the middle of summer must be like being sent to hell.
