I beleive that Symbio provides the backend for Skype in Australia & New Zealand. I am certain it also has a few others of note.
It appears from what we have seen from recent ENG balance sheet that the spend to incorporate an Optus DSL Naked opffering was about $400K, not sure what it would cost MNF to implement though. My understanding as to when Naked DSL will be offered is basically when they can afford to fund it, I gather that they do not want to go into debt to offer this option.
As for any separation of MNF from Symbio, if there was a buyer for MNF at the right price I am certain Rene & Andy would provide a pretty smooth handover!
If they did want to sell Symbio to MNF thru a cap raising, I think it would get pretty good support, I gather that Symbio is a pretty well run and profitable machine judging by how these same guys run MNF.
I don't see any more need to speculate on any joining of these entities unless one of them makes an announcement which I have nerer heard mooted and I personally do not expect to see this as an option going forward, but, you never know, we will have to wait and see.
Right now there is still plenty to be excited about as an MNF shareholder, I feel very much on solid ground with my MNF holding.
