Hi Ewere,
It appears Greenvale resources has been around a bit. If you have held shares in this Co for nearly 40 years, you must be busting a gut to see the Oil Shale business in QLD finally moving towards mining and processing.
You would certainly know all the players fro Aquitaine Australia through to QER, Intermin and others now.
I am no teenager and have gone through every piece of data in the Julia Creek region over the last 2 years and as a matter of course compared the coastal shales to the Toolebuc.
I am a large private shareholder in the Julia Creek region Oil Shales...It is not a public company.
It is in the common interest of the coastal players and the inland shale players to get the message out to the public.
The message is that Australia cannot ignore the development of these shales. The Lib Qld government has reversed the moratorium (largely) and Bob Katter has thrown his support of the Julia Creek shales in his election campaign.
The decent break will come when it hits the headlines, you and others deserve it.
The headlines are not far off as far as I am concerned in the Inland. A lot of work has been going on in the background in our company with regard to Oil Shales in Qld ..per se!
What's good for one oil shale operator will be good for the others is my philosophy.
The more publicity the better.
Unfortunately public companies are somewhat restricted when it comes to publicity and news. A private company has less compliance issues.
Your new director may have these restrictions.
I do not ..just like QER. QER are not a public company but the news on their website is limited.
Not many people know who our company is. I intend to change that very soon for the good of the industry at large... if I can.
This business requires large/ huge CAPEX and OPEX funding ..this is achievable with the right investors. It may require some industry consolidation or like minded people to form a consortium.
The Ultimate beneficiaries will be the Fed/State/Local governments and the local landowners.
Let's see how it works with GRV.
You might be surprised what happens soon...maybe not with GRV, but the Oil shale elsewhere. It depends on GRV's new director.
GRV has a small registry and is tightly held.. that's good, but it could be prevent other players taking equity for debt or other considerations.
It is an illiquid stock currently from what I see.
It's good to see you think that GRV has stayed out of the clutches of the Ziff boys...are you sure?
By the way ..Who is Les?
I hope one day we can catch up for a drink and chat about your ventures in the shale biz. We may be able to laugh about both our experiences over a jar or two. I do not need to produce a identity/ birth date card at any Hotel.
Ewere .. keep posting, The GRV thread needs experienced posters.
Cheers
HR
No advice, just some of my opinion with some very solid research forming it.
