Only takeovers I am seeing tho globally involve Australian, English and Kiwi companies with a few Canadian ones thrown in presumably because of the English speakers in parts of Canada. Not many involve much of the States save for the Verizon on again off again TO of Yahoo and a few other US cross-border plays (sometimes TO bid rumor involving mainland P.R.C. companies supported by Beijing politicos/Shanghai and Shēnzhèn market operatives) according to Xuwai, Sina Weibo, wechat and JD blogs.

Once upon a time, if you read the blogs about 60-70 stocks in the ASX, perhaps even more had had some rumor made about them and so far not many of them have happened altho some are remarkably close. Fairfax Financial took over Tower with a 40% premium which was not even seen and not close to what the FXJ said at the time in that Allianz was taking over QBE, others were Yili for A2M, Mengniu/ Shengmu for AHF, FXJ TO bid by a PEG later found to be TPG, Ladbrokes Coral/ William Hill for TAH or for Tatts Group, ExxonMobil for CTX, Bechtel for LLC, SUN for BEN or NHF, Total for Origin, Hony for STO, COP/ EIG for SXY, US Steel for BSL, Babcock International for DOW, DOW for Spotless, Cameco for ERA, Henderson Group for PTM, BTT for PAC, Kinder Morgan for APA, Randgold Resources/ Anglo American for SBM, Bayer/ BTG/ Amgen/ Merck for SRX, MGM Resorts for SGR, Compass Group for GEM, SGX/ Deutsche Borse 4 ASX, GLEN for BHP, there are a few more I have missed for sure.
