Hi all, new to this forum.

There is a clear point of product differentiation in the false positive scores. Vermillion identifies twice the rate of false positives as CA125 test alone. OvPlex reduces false positives by 30%.

Extract from Article identified in U147 lead post:

"Another aspect of the study (of vermillion) was the high "false positive" rate, the incorrect identification of women as high risk for ovarian cancer when they were not. The rate was two times that for the CA-125 test. This aspect was not deemed to be a problem, as the higher rate would increase the possibility that surgery was performed by a gynecologic oncologist rather than a gynecologist or other non-specialist."
