You don't speak with an Irish accent and run an airline by any chance do you?
I posted this a while back on VBA thread. Sure, from a SP point of view I should have sold out as I was writing, but what I then is worth saying again:
>>A few years ago I dropped my Lady off at Launceston to fly >>to Sydney. She wasn't booked on Virgin. >> >>When she went to check-in the staff almost took delight in >>telling her she was late (less than 5 minutes) and she >>wouldn't be allowed to check-in. >> >>The plane was still on the apron and boarding hadn't >>started. >> >>They watched as she walked over to the Virgin counter and >>bought a new ticket to get home. The Virgin staff told her >>it happened all the time and gave her the best price they >>could. But most importantly, they made her feel better, >>even though they were not the problem! >> >>Using my "chart" I bought $50K of VBA the next week, >>because I KNEW they'd succeed. (OK, I was underwater for a >>while but the share issue took care of that...) >> >>I will NEVER travel with "the other airline" EVER again >>and have made it my business to turn everyone I know off >>them. >> >>I just hope that John Borghetti knows he's now with a CAN >>DO company and that he leaves any "other airline attitude" >>at the check-in counter!
Whether you make hamburgers or fly people around, if you do it well enough for long enough the market will reward you.
Just my 2c.
