Its never tiring to read about the sage, and Barry's article in the AFR seems to produce at the right times. Probably the most important advice that has been ceded to us and is nothing new... Warren puts it best and is relevant for this thread: "A low cost index fund is the most sensible equity investment for the great majority of investors. My mentor Ben Graham took this position many years ago and everything I have seen since convinces me of its truth" Simple easy advice in creating long term wealth if periodically (in both good and manic times) done.
Or if you want to smash the index, invest in Berkshire. Received the annual last week along with the voting and annual meeting instructions. Should be a cracker meeting in May and looking forward to it.
