It's costly to process. KRC need to dig, shovel, truck and crush 3x the amount of dirt over three times the distance. They will also require 3x the amount of exploration drilling to identify the best regions of the lease to mine and in what order they should be mined.
Ultimately though, it'll come down to the bankable PFS and prevailing market conditions for Vanadium. No matter what, the high grade deposits will be the first to get up and running.
Going back a few years, Largo presented a better business case than anyone associated with the Gabanintha deposit, so, the V at Gabanintha remained in the ground while Largo went ahead and mined V. Case in point.
KRC might very well get up and running, although, when it does, production at Gabanintha will be going gangbusters. I'd rather ride the faster wave at Gabanintha and throw my profits back into lower grade deposits at KRC/IRC if they looks good in a few years time.
