Like most investors, I guess AVL holders want to believe they are on the 'winner' of this particular 'race' between the two companies. Humans are competitive, evolution has required it of us, and so it is outside of dusty, windy, hot-as-hell Meekatharra.
I'm interested to see management of AVL openly articulating that there is 'bad blood' between the two. First I've heard of it, and there could be any number of permutations that account for it.
The gas issue is something that I've seen raised before on AVL threads. Are AVL planning to tap into the gas pipeline 160km away - are they going to build their own pipeline to do so? If so, would it not be better to share the cost of doing so with their neighbour? Do one, or both companies not want to do this? Is this a source of tension perhaps? TMT have it down as one of the issues they are currently figuring out for the DFS I note, so might be interesting to see what transpires.
