Session, the global abundance of vanadium is the same as copper, as I am sure you well know, so its occurrence is not rare and it occurs as a by product in oil from tar sands and in calcrete hosted uranium mines for starters. But unlike copper it has limited uses so far; also it is more expensive to produce. I beleive its future lies in vanadium redox batteries which have the potential to dramatically increase current vanadium demand. Does anyone know what the price that vanadium pentoxide needs to be to be viable for vanadium redox batteries.
