Great article Blue Swims.
I have read reasons for Germany's nuclear phaseout, but I don't agree with it. It seemingly sabotages its own energy self-reliance. Appreciate they have pipes from Russia and grid security from neighbouring countries but why are they still talking about maybe needing to keep coal plants going. Nuclear could have made inroads into the transport and household sectors as well, albeit with some capital injection needed.
They should have implemented a nuclear phase out well after 2030 and after having understood what the EV market demands look like going into 2050. Anyway wiser heads than myself took the decision. Doesn't mean we have to like it!
