“WHAT WE AIM TO ACHIEVE – A HIGH-TECH HUB
Following the successful commencement of mining, Vanadis anticipates that the Project will include processing facilities for the vanadium, which would incorporate one or more of:

- a vanadium battery electrolyte production facility;
- a battery manufacturing or assembly facility; and / or
- potentially a by-product processing facility.

Vanadis has held initial discussions with battery manufacturing companies, who have expressed interest in ongoing involvement with the Häggån Project, both from the sourcing of vanadium for electrolyte production and also for the potential to establish a European base for manufacturing or assembly of their vanadium redox flow batteries.

The physical impact on the Berg community and surrounding environment from such facilities is expected to be minimal, as the manufacturing facilities are not anticipated to take up a large area and the manufacturing process is expected to be benign. However, the potential economic benefits to the community will be very positive, with a large number of permanent jobs being created.“
