1 gigajoule of electricity is sold (retail) for about $500
(ball park )
multiply that by 780,000,000,000 GJ
and you get the "potential" value of TEY reserves
- a ridiculously large number
But Of course - how much is recoverable and how much Nett margin can TEY achieve
Even if TEY were to only recover 0.1 percent of the energy reserve and achieve a puny margin of 0.1 percent it would have stillearnt $390 million
Given the Temperatures seem more than adequate and near existing infrastructure I don't think we are being too optimistic.
Of course it is not guaranteed but the potential upside is worth the risk IMO - it could pay-off big - very big OR .....it might fail
