Rooster6, of course it will cost them money as PetroBras is earning in 50% by spending $41mill, thus future funding for development will be spit based on % of holding in project.
i certainly wouldnt buy any shares at the ludicrus price of $50 as the risk/return metrics simply wouldnt stack up.
again looking at the volumes of gas in the resource (if they even find gas) 12 TCF is very loft and when an analysis is done, there will be different probabilities stated. Thus you can only base any future calculations on the mean probability of volume of gas or P90. its the same measurements for a mineral resource ie measured, indicated and inferred. if you say that the total resource of a P90 probability is 1 TCF then i am happy to buy Chriswell's shares at 50c.
its not as simple a saying 1 TCF is worth X per share for a company because there are so many unknown variables like future costs, however all i am trying to demonstraight is that if they find gas, then the shares are cheap. again all this is based on whether they find gas and i think everyone is getting ahead of themselves.
you are entitled to you opinion and i would welcome some more factual interpretation of a value rather than banter. you can visit the santos website for a calculation conversion if you wish
