One reason I became very bullish on EOS was the issuance of 5,5 million options to directors and staff. Announced 11/2/2016, when the stock traded at 1,14. Excercise price 3,00, exercisable on or before 31 januari 2019, fully paid. Options were way out of the money!
Management clearly expected a huge leap in the shareprice towards the exercise date. They have to pay 16,5 million to receive the shares. With a shareprice of 4 or 4,50, that's risky, taking on loans to buy shares in a small and possible illiquid company. Clearly they expected a much, much higher shareprice or a takeover, based on their insider expectations.
