The rock is not that hard, it more likely that the drilling boys are not used to the formation they are drilling. Normally in the Canning oil companies have lost the bottom hole assembly with in the Carribuddy Salt layers, most unusual to loss it in the Grant.

Also the heat must now begin to play apart, would be over 40 plus during the day, makes the drilling equipment over heat, staff suffer de-hydration etc.

I would seem that the timeline on this well is also shot to pieces, I wonder if they will now drill Yelleroo or not.

The worst case would be an early cyclone!!
