Air NZ, at 25% stake, are looking to part ways & VAH are running at a loss in an environment of low oil prices.
It seems a big deal to Mr Market.
Singapore, Etihad and Air NZ make up 73% of the register.
The weekly chart over 10y shows low liquidity very clearly. Makes it hard to know what is cheap. The low liquidity is a good recipe for volatility.
Singapore or Etihad HQ must be mulling over this. Who controls Air NZ anyhow?
Strong hands like Singapore and Etihad is a positive. I hope the Aussie market means something to them.
