I came across an article in SMH talking about building a battery factory to take advatage of WA being the epicenter of the battery mineral boom.
Whats interesting is that it specifically talked about UTR being a company that is looking to set up shop and has intention to build a gigafactory. Very very exciting times for UTR holders, the company has big plans for the future.
UTR's technology is exciting and has great potential. The CEO even ditched WBT, a forefront runner in the RERAM space with semiconductor heavy weight on the board to focus on this. That is how much Kobi believes in the future of this tech.
PT Garda Persada is just the beginning.
Below are some excerpts
Israeli-based ASX-listed battery maker Ultracharge attended the consortium and has signalled its intention to build a battery factory in WA.
Ultracharge chief executive Kobi Ben-Shabat said the company was looking for a partner to help establish a ‘gigafactory’, a factory able to produce 1000MW worth of battery storage per year.
He said despite WA’s high labour costs the state’s natural advantages and incentives from government could make a large factory viable.
