Tee has provided a lot of substance to this chatroom. I dont think you should attack the person so much. everyone is well meaning -I think- we just disagree on what is good for our country and people. I am a human CO2 global warming Armageddon skeptic - and proud because I think it is right - and there has not been substantive proof for me to change my opinion. - thats all.
I hope I am right because it means the earth in this regard will be OK -
I think I am right, that is why I ahve asked time and time again for actual proof - not opinions, or co-incidence - "Oh we have had the driest Summer in x years type rubbish" but a proof of the hypothesis being:
"the climate is warming up very adversely as a result of human Co2 emissions and if we can change them by x% we will save the world"
I havent seen any proper scientific irrefutable proof - I have read many reports and they are all correlations - ie co-incidence but not irrefutable proof.
The climate is changing but it could be a consequence of all sorts of inputs - which wont change if you could alter human CO2 output.
Meanwhile china is building 800 new coal fired powerstations - and you think CO2 levels are going to be managed -I dont think this is realistic.
If the world is warming we are better to plan for this possibility- Look at better irrigation, managed tidal floods, make sure infrastructure is better built etc.
Maybe spend the environmental dollars on proven outcomes - reforestation, better water supplies, looking after fisheries, soil desalination and erosion, protecting endangered species etc
