In Australia, this agenda has been successful: when first elected in 2013, the ruling LNP federal govt set about dismantling a raft of existing policies aimed at curbing carbon emissions. They’ve put nothing in their place. One of the heroes of this movement, former PM Tony Abbott, declared the science of climate change was “crap”.

the problem for Abbott, Tee47 and other climate change denying noisemakers is that the huge amount of science and IP underpinning AGW and climate change basically stacks up.

the relentless propaganda from the fossil fuel industry supporting a ‘do nothing position’ extends as far as trying to diminish the professionalism of all science agencies operating in the area. In Australia, this focuses on the work of the Bureau of Meteorology, a govt agency.

hence Tee47’s pathetic attempt above to criticize BoM’s work. It isn’t 100% clear what Tee47 is trying to say, but the good climate change denying noisemaker will try to relentlessly chip away at BoM’s professionalism in an attempt to cast doubt about its work.
