On the USCOM website the following article has just gone up and needs a wider viewing. There is also a video of the casual interview with the Hungarian Physicians who are obviously very happy with the USCOM.

Teh text of the article follows:

USCOM Around the World - Pediatric Intensive Care in Hungary
For investors and management of Uscom, much of what we do is fixed on the commercial operations of the Company, and we are really starting to deliver trend growth. But importantly we are changing clinical care at the same time. We are saving lives, and ultimately that determines the future opportunities and is the reason we received the Johnson&Johnson Innovation AusBiotech Award for 2014. As a medical device company our markets and revenues ultimately depend on being clinically useful and saving lives; its not possible to say that of many devices but with USCOM, the message is incontestable.
This week we had publication of the Herbert Valensise paper from Rome recommending USCOM 1A screening for all pregnancies because it detects pre-eclampsia at 5 weeks rather than the current 20 weeks, thus allowing early treatment and improved mortality and morbidity. For a condition responsible for 200 maternal deaths and 1500 foetal deaths per day world wide, the transition of USCOM to widespread clinical adoption is critical for the improved well being of mothers and children. I also want to let you know we released a small video I shot on my iPhone in Budapest at the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit, Szent Istvan and Szent Laszlo Hospitals, as part of an USCOM Around the World project. The movie is titled “Paediatric Intensive Care in Hungary – USCOM Saving Children with Sepsis”. It was an amazing and heart felt experience to see USCOM saving children’s lives in Hungary and making the difficult work of critical care paediatricians easier. None of this testimony was scripted just a free conversation with two outstanding and committed Paediatric Intensivists who have integrated USCOM 1A into their clinical routine, and whom are grateful on behalf of their patients. Have a look at the video, and feel proud; the child in that video is alive today because of our USCOM 1A.
