    From what I've heard, most likely reason is:

    Boing installed some software but they didn't notify carriers. Thus the pilots would have no training and no clue why the plane is doing the dive or how to stop it..

    From some Australian aviation authority representative on news clip as they announced grounding of Boing plane in Australia.
