Just to think out loud, If the USD appreciates then this may make the difference smaller, but Brazil may be in a crisis for a while and the pressure on their currency, wages etc should keep their beef prices low. Do you think that AAC has it one up on Brazil in relation to the upper end market in Asia? I believe that their move into premium beef may be some insurance against the cheaper sources found in the low to normal end of the beef market. I read an article recently about ozzy beef being displaced in Malaysia (and or Indonesia) by frozen buffalo meat from India, which is much cheaper, abundant and apparently in the majority of the dishes it is used, people cant tell the difference.
Interested in what you think, being directly involved in the industry
