Never too late and Australia has a long history with PNG, a lot of PNG people are educated in Australian and also serve in our ADF.

Its about time Australia imposed itself in the near Pacific. All politicians are guilty of ignoring a lot of these small islands unless they could get some mineral rights from it.

I have always thought that PNG went independent far too early and was never ready to run the country.

Australia because of our politicians has really dropped the ball in PNG and those islands in the Pacific.

One thing is for sure we cannot allow China to rule the roost via big free loans and promises of lots of infrastructure.
