What you'll be doing …
You will be working as part of both the US Survey Operations team and a Global Service virtual team to ensure our US fleet of capture systems is installed, serviced, upgraded, and any systems or field issues that arise are prioritised, analysed and resolved to keep our capture program working at maximum efficiency at all times.
You will be a fast and eager technical learner, ready to grow into a technical expert on the ground in the US backed by Global Service engineering support in Australia. You will perform a variety of regular service tasks across our fleet with an eye for any issues or improvements, always able to switch into more detailed technical analysis as required. You will appreciate how key good documentation and service records are and be ready to contribute as required to keep them accurate and up to date, but also know when you need to use your learned expertise and natural technical and analysis skills to go beyond what's available to troubleshoot a challenging issue at hand. You will also be responsible for tracking inventory and making sure Nearmap's asset management systems are kept up to date.
You are invaluable during new system rollouts, carefully documenting your observations and suggestions during the testing phases to assist our global engineering team. You will be familiar with test tools such as multimeters and a simple oscilloscope, understand basic IP networking and be familiar with tracing a mixed-cabled network environment for issues...
