BTW, I never employ pre-determined stop losses. You can whipsawed out of a stock only to see it bounce the next day. I prefer to monitor the companies I invest in and if fundamentals have changed for the worse, then I will exit. I never exit based on stock price alone. Market participants also have tools these days to "trigger" stop losses so they can then snap up shares cheaply.
