This so called truce is just so much smoke and mirrors. All they agreed to was to put off introducing any new tariffs for 90 days. All the previous Tariffs stay.
IMO Trump backed down and probably because of GM who is not returning any more of its business to the US.
Trump promised during the election campaign not one more company would go offshore.
In affect GM has gone offshore and into Mexico.
