Gpmm, I have not got the faintest idea why you are so bitter. As a result of Mr Gallagher's recent action the share price jumped from $6.28 to $7.00. That is of far more benefit than a 15 cent divi. You mentioned if you want capital growth hop into the spec end of the market. If you want dividends please buy the banks or Telstra. If Santos don't continue to grow reserves well eventually they will run out of money to pay dividends.
Mr Gallagher to date seems to be doing a wonderful job and even the analysts seem to be coming around as I had a look at Morningstar today and it had a $7.00 price target.
