I think we are seeing fundamental triggers worldwide.
Firstly, countries are considering and building nuclear reactors while others like japan restart them.
Then we have the production cuts and we all know supply creates it’s own demand.
Lastly, I think countries are also looking at cutting down subsidies for renewable energies which will put them at a more level playing field. With carbon emissions targets, this should allow the need for nuclear in the energy mix.
Are these not fundamental factors?
It will be interesting to see how natural gas prices fair because that is also instrumental to energy production. Oh and also the development of smaller nuclear plants.
Time will tell but we are almost at the yearly high spot price. It’s a reasonable reward/risk proposition IMO.
