Would the same argument applies to the beginning of this year when the spot also had a pulse? Sure there was a spike in the sector then died a natural 'death' back to the depth of the lows until recently.
Half empty - take away some of the supply and spot spikes
Half full - demand came backto buy up existing supply
What is the current trigger caused by and how sustainable is that? Assuming Cameco and Kazakhstan cut their supply to give some recovery in the price, if there weren't demand driven, that supply can just as easily come back to the market. This to me is the smoke screen similar to crude oil and OPEC.
However this could be the start of the bottom reversal in the sector or could yet be another bull trap. I am not seeing any proper fundamental trigger but good luck if you are lucky enough to have bought at the low. Every unloved sector will eventually come back into favor. I still think there is too many competing energy source. Good luck.
