    Googled it ... around 38 MJ per standard cubic metre of gas. So at Bibbelwindi lateral they said 15 standard cubic metres of gas per tonne of coal .. that's 570 MJ per tonne. Then you need to think GJ amd PJ!

    How much coal is there in an area of say 3000 square km (rough the most prospective area in just ESG's PEL 238 .. which is 9,000 square km) with an average thickness of all coal seams of say 15m??? And how much gas? Is that what you are thinking? And in the OIP areas .. say 1,000 square km (with the greatest prospectivity) with 4m thick coals? Interesting to ponder.
