Loquacious review of EOS past and present links and interesting websites related to the companies future performance speculation.
Front page of news.com.au this arvo we see this fantastic report which when people wake up, will realize EOS ( ELECTRO OPTIC SYSTEMS HOLDINGS LIMITED ), is going to be a major player with it's key technologies already leading the world in space debris solutions from the research I have found and studied, all roads lead to EOS. This is without even taking into consideration the $USD8 billion CROWS 3 contract I believe they will also get with Northrop Grumman's backing.

I found this on EOS's site which is from 2006 from ORD Minnet : It was written by a Senior Analyst and recommends EOS as a buy at $2.80 and high risk investment.

It does though hold relevance i think to the company still today in a general informative way and found it an interesting find that i thought i would share with the community.

"Discussions would begin in January about details on a surveillance system to track the junk posing a threat, and the two countries agreed to efforts to prevent long-lived debris-creating behavior.

The US Space Surveillance Network (SSN) is the principal system used to detect, track and identify objects orbiting earth.
Currently just over 16,000 objects are being tracked, ranging from large objects like the International Space Station and satellites, down to small pieces of debris of approximately 10 cm in diameter.
To boost this effort Australia has agreed to a Space Situational Awareness Partnership, which could include development of a joint tracking facility, likely to be in Western Australia, and to develop trained space specialists within our own department of Defense."

"The value of satellites over the decade to 2010 has been estimated at greater than US$400 billion. The longevity and viability of these satellites is under serious threat from space debris."

Satellite Laser Ranging
http://www.eos-aus.com/?pid=19
"Satellite Laser Ranging (SLR) is used to track objects in space. It involves the firing of laser pulses through a telescope at passing satellites and measuring the time taken for the pulses to return to earth.
The Australian EOS SLR facilities at Mount Stromlo in Canberra and the Moblas facilities in Western Australia are part of a global network of some 30 observatories using laser light to measure distances to orbiting satellites.
EOS is a world leader in satellite tracking performance, with (day and night) 24 hours per day, 7 days per week autonomous tracking systems.
EOS is uniquely placed to provide a solution. EOS currently carry out surveillance using space laser systems to track and catalog the most potentially damaging pieces of debris. Once the debris is tracked it can be avoided.
EOS use automated, high power, eyesafe laser trackers to accurately determine a single debris orbit with only two seconds of tracking. They have so far had success at tracking objects as small as 5mm."

EOS OUTLINE
http://www.eos-aus.com/?pid=1
EOS focuses on the space surveillance and control, and the military force protection sectors of the aerospace market.
In space surveillance and control, EOS specializes in space information based on the use of EOS-developed instruments and sensors to detect, track, classify and charaterise objects in space. This information is required for both military and commercial space applications.
To support its space business, EOS develops and produces a wide range of space-related infrastructure in the form of sub-systems, such as telescopes and beam directors. Some of these are sold commercially. An example is optical telescopes, where EOS is widely known as the largest producer of major optical telescopes in the world.
In 2005 EOS formed a strategic alliance with Northrop Grumman [USA] for the development and exploitation of certain segments of the space sector.
