mate, you miss one important point: renters don't use rent.com.au.
whenever renters search for properties, they type realestate.com.au or domain.com.au. Ask yourself, what site you go if you search for a rental property? Ask your friends.
No matter how many properties listing on rent.com.au, that does not matter, as the majority of renters simply wont open rent.com.au.
