My reality lesson was SLR at the time could not go wrong when gold came off that $1900 high. Although I didn't buy in the end, I contemplated for a long time as they went from grade to through put + takeovers. As the POG fell aggressively so did the valuation.
I don't know the history of RSG but that cycle also pulled the valuation down as price collapsed! This strategy on Syama being an UG mine does not have a lot of tolerance to any opex issues though so it has to be very optimised mining.
