Your scaling (normalisation) factor is unit less IMO so no mistake IMO. It does not give an ounce squared result IMO. It is a legitimate $ per oz formula which has meaning, see my post above. What is confusing is just that it's a $/oz/annum metric. When you think of the metric in terms of annums it makes perfect sense IMO. Esh
