My first experience of a stock which was heavily shorted was LNC [Linc energy]... forgetting about the way that company has traveled recently, at the time, it was unreasonably driven down from ~$3 to ~50cents. Holders were screaming, plenty bailed and all seemed hopeless.
Just when things seemed terminal ... the stock began rising vigorously. It later emerged that Credit Suisse had accumulated a handy position which they picked up in the lows.
I have no idea if something similar is happening with BDR .... but, these days, when I see a stock driven down by short selling to a stupid price I no longer tremble.
