Great start of a comprehensive REITs summary. Couple thoughts, there's a REIT thread on HC, rarely gets used, be great up there to get things moving well on that thread.

Charting idea is good as Count suggested, but for a quick summary instead of something like a squillion screens worth, could put just a bit more info about each REIT. Eg instead of current sp as fraction of 52week high, put its low as percentage of its max at the heights of 2007, and its current sp as percentage of that as well. Eg, MOF, max was something like 1.70 around June 07, min was 0.071 in March 09, and current sp of 0.345 would be:

    MOF 4.2% 20.3%

Can see from a glance that its 5x higher from its lows, but still fair way below its heights. Could be argued that its max wont be reached again, if ever, for something like a decade+, but it just gives an idea of where its at. There have been examples in past bear markets like LEI where if memory serves correct it went under 20c in mid 70s, but now is at 40.00, 200x higher, or 17%pa compounded over the last say 33years, even Buffet would be starting to get happy. Could also put in latest sp as percentage of latest reported NTA, in brackets say to distinguish, eg MOF NTA is 0.49:

    MOF 4.2% 20.3% (70.4%) 18-10-09

With the date the numbers were last calc'd in case they don't all get updated every week or so.

Big project, weekender at least, but could get a number of people contributing, along with other suggested additions to the summary?

    What do you guys reckon?
