Yes Coning can and does happen in horizontals, but it is greatly reduced compared to the verticals.

The thing is we don't know where a water contact is or even if there is one close enough for them to see evidence of it, and the well hasn't been on production long enough to create any form of coning.

This is all speculation in an attempt to explain the unknown.

I'll just wait for ARQ to release more info.

btw, I believe Arc are confused too.
