"Government sources" say it's highly likely the moratorium (on hydraulic fracturing for gas exploration in the NT) will be lifted, with the decision to come early next week.
CM Michael Gunner is assessing how the NTG can fit in with the 135 recommendations advised from the Pepper Report, saying the decision is as much about how to restore trust in the government, as it is about hydraulic fracturing.
I realise the focus has been on the Beetaloo Basin, which reportedly holds some 70% of shale gas potential in the NT, however I hope that the NTG will allow all areas to be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Fmen
