I know we have covered all of this territory before, but TP it is all very well to make statements i.e it's only the 17.5% odd at stake, but if you dont provide facts and reason as to why, no one will believe you. Even if you are the self proclaimed king of SRK!!

I think it is obvious D&C's intentions are to prevent the exercise of the options. Read section 7 of the announcement that states that:

"D&C Group has claimed that the options exercise is invalid as it filed its application for the JPM in April 2008, prior to the exercise of the options"

Then in section 10 it states that:

".....The merits of D&C groups challenge to the exercise of the options will be determined in Strikes arbitration proceedings......"

What part of this do you not understand, of course D&C are trying to prevent the exercise of the options, so they can maintain a larger share. Your talk of a cash settlement does not make legal sense.

I think we will get through this, but it is obviously a major inconvience - D&C sounds like a very ordinary mob who are used to the way Sth America was run 20 years ago. SRK could however do a better job of clarifying the situation. There announcement last week is completely contradictory to the update released last night.
