The report highlights cost savings. A 29% reduction in Geoscience staffing is larger than expected. Given the geosciences estimated cost of $160.535million from 2013 (based on staff 48% 1700 of 3550 staff of overall employee cost of $335.287 million), the savings realised is $46.555 million over one year.
They now have around 1200 staff members.
Also no notice of deteriorating conditions, reasons for some optimism in the near term. This from a company that has been primarily doom and gloom recently.
Q4 always seems to be a better month than Q3, so question is can the positive news be realised?
